Sublimation

Winning the Decoration Game

about Sublimation

Sublimation is a cutting-edge, high-performance printing technique that has revolutionized custom team uniform decoration. This process involves embedding the design directly into the fabric, rather than sitting on top of it. The result? A seamless, lightweight decoration that moves with the fabric, resists fading, and will never peel off—ensuring long-lasting quality and performance.

The true power of sublimation lies in its versatility. It allows for an almost unlimited range of colors, patterns, and design locations without increasing the cost of the uniform. Whether your design has intricate details, multiple colors, or large graphics, sublimation ensures that every element is crisp and vibrant. This means you can create uniforms with up to eight colors and multiple design locations without paying extra for each addition.

For teams looking to create custom uniforms that stand out both in style and performance, sublimation offers unmatched durability, flexibility, and cost-efficiency—making it the ultimate choice for athletic apparel.

How It Works

Sublimation is a specialized printing process used to transfer dye onto fabric, primarily polyester, through heat and pressure. Here’s a breakdown of how it works:

  • Design Creation: The first step is to create your custom design digitally. You can use any combination of colors, logos, and graphics to form a complete look for your team uniforms.

  • Printing the Design: The design is then printed onto special sublimation transfer paper using sublimation inks. These inks are unique because they can turn from solid to gas when heat is applied, allowing them to bond with the fabric’s fibers.

  • Heat Transfer: The printed transfer paper is placed onto the fabric, and heat is applied through a heat press. The heat causes the sublimation ink to turn into gas, which penetrates the polyester fibers, bonding the ink to the fabric on a molecular level.

  • Cooling: After the ink has fully bonded to the fabric, the heat is removed, and the garment is left to cool. At this stage, the design is permanent, vibrant, and integrated into the fabric, not just sitting on top of it.

  • Final Product: The result is a uniform with vibrant, long-lasting colors that won’t fade, peel, or crack. The decoration is breathable, stretches with the fabric, and doesn’t add weight to the garment—making it ideal for high-performance sportswear.

This process allows for intricate designs, multiple color layers, and full coverage, all while maintaining the integrity of the fabric. Sublimation is the perfect solution for creating custom team uniforms with limitless design possibilities and exceptional durability.
